A chain of Sickness goin on....

my Daughter Ava went to school and her friend got her sick..

then when Ava got Home she got got baby Karsyn sick, Ha.. I didn't know Karsyn was sick and i let Emma hold her and Now Emma's sick!

So we have a Big Sicky Girly Chain thing going on here..

so for baby what's the good kind of cold medicine? "the good kind"

the older girls Love those little dissolveable Tongue ones.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!

all cold medicines for children under the age of 2 were pulled from store shelves after the FDA determined they were hazardous to babies' health and even caused several deaths.

these cold medicines can no longer be found in local stores.

vick's vapor rub is also not recommended for children under the age of 1 b/c it can interfere with the baby's breathing and cause problems.

put a warm mist humidifier in her room at night while she sleeps-this will help ease and break up nasal or chest congestion and help her sleep easier. also, elevate the head of her crib (this will also help her breather easier)

you can put ocean spray nasal drops in her nose too.

other than that, just try and keep her comfortable. johnson's makes a baby vapor bath that is super great for babies with colds. it will help ease her misery (the vick's used in this wash is very minimal compared to the original stuff i advised you NOT to use)

For infants- no cold medicine is needed unless it is a bacterial infection then antibiotics. Babies under 2 years should not take any kind of cold medicine- it is too strong for them and can cause liver and kidney damage and even death in little ones. Just use Vick's vapor rub or a humidifier, lots of rest and liquids and the cold will pass in 7 to 10 days- it is just a cold- it will not hurt her. As for the older girls be careful with what they take as well. Really to get over a cold- they need rest , liquids, maybe some chicken soup and it will pass.

haha this is funny but so sad see i am a talker too so here i am going to talk you to death sorry!

I have 2 kids of my own 10 months and 23 months and i am such a happy mom and i HAD a daycare center picked out and sent the oldest when he was 4 months old to daycare and the youngest just got enrolled 2 months ago and one day the boys came home both coughing and i found out the daycare lady just started smoking so i was like oh yeah this is great and the boys are sick right so i take them in and the best thing to do is get some medicine that dissolves in a bottle or somehting and that is what i did it was only 20 dollars at the pharmacy so i was happy about that so get a liquid or a dissolver so i hope i helped and i wish you luck!!
