  1. if you can do it off ice, you can do it on ice. just imagine ur off ice when ur on ice. make sure you lift ur left hip and point ur toes. jump up and over and really pull in. you might get worse before you get better but falling a little is better than doing it with improper technique. good luck!

  2. its that secure feeling where you know you what fall

    confidence work on that

  3. Getting the cross is probably the most awkward part of the jump. All other singles don't really require it as much so getting this technique for the first time is difficult. I'm not sure how to help but try these tips and keep practicing. It won't come in a day.

Focus on your arms. After the kick through, don't think about your legs. Maybe your body can do it on its own without your mind interfering.

Check your technique. Right before you take off (assuming counterclockwise skater, if not, reverse left and right) your left leg should be straight and your right leg should be bent. After kicking through the right leg should be ready to go behind the left leg as your rotate. Once you have rotated a bit more the right leg will straighten and automatically go behind the left, making the cross. You don't have to worry about a tight air position yet, because it's only a single, so it's ok if your ankles are not touching. (Essentially, once you have kicked through with that bent leg, straighten it.)

I hope these tips help you. The best tranining you can do is the actual movement, and that goes for any sport. You know how to cross your legs, you know what it feels like, so work on it at the moment necessary. Check your technique because often skaters have a bad take off which affects the entire jump.

    Good luck!!!
