Axolotl with white cloud mountain minnows?

my axolotl is in with 2 comet goldfish and he is fine with them

do you think i could get rid of the goldfish and add a school of white cloud mountain minnows

its a 15 gallon filtered aquarium and 11 gallons is a minimum tank size for 1 axolotl according to axolotl.org

so how many wcmm could i add

  1. I think that any white cloud mountain minnows would become food for the amphibian. The goldfish are probably large enough not to be swallowed but the white clouds may not be so lucky.


  2. Considering minnows are commonly used as feeder fish, and Axolotl love feeder fish, you could add the fish to give your Axolotl a change of diet, but I really suggest against it. And as you know, the comet goldfish will get way too big for the tank. Are they feeders also?

  3. The axolotyl will most likely eat the WCM - it's just what they do.
