Liverpool’s managing director Ian Ayre disclosed that he spoke with some of the key members of the Reds squad, following Kenny Dalglish’s ouster from the management.
Even though the Scott guided his side to their first piece of silverware in almost six years with a Carling Cup triumph in February, he became the latest casualty of the Reds dismal Premier League campaign which saw them finish the table at eighth place;
their lowest standing in 18 years.
Earlier, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 fired their director of football Damien Comolli and the director of communications Ian Cotton in view of the Reds failure to challenge for a top four finish.
However, Ayre revealed that he reached out to the squad following the club’s decision on the Scott and took their opinion on the matter. He mentioned that he assured them that no major changes are expected to be made in the near future, and the decision
had been taken in the best interest of Liverpool.
He told the club’s official website, “This view that there is a crisis and everyone is leaving is wrong; it's just a time based thing. When anyone leaves you have to go through the process of finding a replacement and moving forward.”
The Englishman also indicated that the club plans on appointing an experienced candidate for the management http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, who will bring extra energy and renewed belief in the side.
He also conceded that a change in the club’s structure is underway and the decisions which were first made by the director of football only, will now be undertaken by a group of people, in order to split the responsibility.
When asked if the Reds defeat against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the FA Cup final resulted in Dalglish’s ouster, Ayre negated the suggestion by saying, “Winning the FA Cup wouldn't have made any difference - it was never about an individual result. It was always about taking
a review of the season in full.”
The Englishman also cautioned the fans against setting high expectations. He pointed out that the club was going through a transition period and major changes in results cannot be achieved overnight.
