  1. Honestly I don't really care.  Whatever happens, will happen.  If I die, I die.  We'll find out in a few years won't we.  I don't really understand how the earth lining up with somethings will make it flip on its axis or anything like that.  Not sure, but honestly I don't care.

  2. To be exact December 21st 2012 and yes that will be when the world will end. The earth is going to be lined up with the center of the galaxy only happening every 12,000 years scientists this has proved its happened before the earth will shift on its axis if it happens in a short period of time the result will be catastrophic and if it happened in a short period of time say a couple of days the results will be awful climate will change making winter summer and north america will me plummeted into were Antarctica was.

  3. Nope, I believe that when the Mayan calendar runs out, it'll just start all over again. OTOH, information doubling reaches the point of overload at about the same time. This is an economic disaster. But we're getting used to that.

  4. I assure you that the world will not end on 1012 December 21 but it will end one day.  Nostradamus’ prediction of when the earth will end is far into the future, past about 3700.  Remember that if there is a beginning, there is an end.

The Mayan’s Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by Jose Arguelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 2012 December 21 (Wikipedia).

In the book of Revelation, it tells us about a period of a thousand years of peace. Has this occurred already since the time of Jesus? Not yet. That will still come. Those that give predictions, such as 2012 and numerous times during the past, are pseudo-preachers. Have they talked to God directly? If so, give proofs.

But there is something that is certain—and that is our physical death. This is what we should prepare for. It may come when least expected. We do not know the day and the hour. It will come like a thief in the night. So we just have to be prepared all the time. Search for the true God and when we find Him, follow His commandments and remain in Him until our last dying breath.

This is all that we have to do. It is faith in the true God that we can take with us when we depart from this world. If we deny Him, He will deny us also before the Father in Heaven. If we know Him and love Him and followed His commandments, then He may reward us to live with Him eternally in His kingdom in Heaven. This is the survival kit that we should have.

What is also certain to happen very soon (in about 2012 or earlier) is World War III and this is a nuclear war.  This calamitous war will start from the Philippines, at Spratly Islands in particular.  The Spratly Islands lie on the South China Sea mostly near the coast of the Philippines.  The Holy Spirit told us that the Philippines is like the wick of a lamp.  Once the wick is lit, it will be on and aglow.  He told us about this prophecy more than a decade ago.  Please read what is happening in the Philippines now.  Spratly Islands which is being claimed wholly or partly by six countries including China is in the news and considered a tinderbox, a flash point.  It is very rich is oil and gas resources, more than the reserve of Kuwait.  The high price of oil may trigger the grabbing of these islands and start the war.

Four independent prophecies point to the certainty that this will happen.  These are Nostradamus’ prophecies (quatrains 6:24 and 2:62) , the 56th Chinese prophecy of Tuey Bei Tu, Revelation 9:18 of the Holy Bible, and those that the Holy Spirit revealed to us.  If you are interested in the details about these prophecies, please send me your request via email.

  5. The Mayan calendar supposedly stops at "Dec. 21, 2012, when the Maya's "Long Count" calendar marks the end of a 5,126-year era. So it doesn't seem to match a "12,000 year cycle"

One problem is calculating this date to our calendar. An excerpt from some discussion runs: "in which the Venus Round is cut short after 61 Venus cycles to locate a new 1 Ahau Sacred Day of Venus near an actual Venus morningstar appearance, is probably only one of many conceived by the Maya...potent Venus Round of 37,960 days...dichotomy between Lounsbury's work and Thompson's, ... correlation question...Thompson correlation of 1930 (corr# 584285), while Thompson himself revised it 2 days in 1950 (corr# 584283).

So what will happen on this date (or has already happened, or may happen some indefinite time before or afterwards?)

"Lawrence Joseph forecasts widespread catastrophe in Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation Into Civilization's End. Spiritual healer Andrew Smith predicts a restoration of a "true balance between Divine Feminine and Masculine" in The Revolution of 2012: Vol. 1, The Preparation. In 2012, Daniel Pinchbeck anticipates a "change in the nature of consciousness," assisted by indigenous insights and psychedelic drug use."

    What so others say?

"For the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle," says Sandra Noble, executive director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies in Crystal River, Fla. To render Dec. 21, 2012, as a doomsday or moment of cosmic shifting, she says, is "a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in."

As for disasters, a review of the last 40 years has these books and events predicting disaster:

1968 "Population Bomb". Too many people in the 1980s and starvation.

"Famine 1975" In that year we run out of food

"Greening of America" We all become hippies eating un-homogenized peanut butter. I know, it's the peanut butter part.

"Future Shock" We'll have too many choices. (The concept of multi-tasking wasn't known)

the 1970s had a concern of a "new ice age" we should increase the greenhouse effect by producing more CO2

"Jupiter Effect" the planets will line up and the earth will do something.

"Y2K" Points given for those that can explain "why" it was a concern.

Millennium Supposedly it was to be the end of the world. The question was"Is it 2000 or 2001?"

If you get the impression, there's a lot of disaster predictions and they sell books, you're right.

During the 1800s there were a number of movements that predicted the end of the world. People gave away everything they owned and gathered to await the end. A couple of days later, they started trying to get their stuff back.

On December 22, 2012 some new disaster will be in the wings and nobody that's preaching this disaster will own up to being wrong.

  6. No.

There's no reason to believe it will end in 2012.

Uh, I thought it was Mayans people were citing for this.

I can't say how many of these "end of the world" things I've seen come and go in my life. Even if I'd ever been inclined to believe any of them, after the first few, I think I'd have gotten a clue.

I do wish there were some way of recording all the people who say 2012 is it, so I can get in touch with them in 2013 and point and laugh.
