B-1 or B-2. Which is better?

In terms of penetrating an enemy Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) B2, no contest.  In terms of delivering accurate ordnance in large quantities quickly, the B1.  It was this very fact that persuaded our previous SecDef Mr R to cancel his plans to retire the B1.

I also vote B-2 in that it can make a bomb run with less risk that the B-1.  However, as mentioned in the responses above, both have their own problems.

Maybe we should bring back the B-52 with a couple of AGM-28Cs on it.  (The AGM-28A and B model are all gone.)

Gotta go with the B-2.  If the target does not see you coming then they cannot take defensive actions.  The B-2 is the punch they never see coming.  Nothing like a precision air strike to get their attention.

I don't think it matters really, the B-2 would have never been made if it wasn't for the B-1.  So obviously the B-2 has to be better or else it wouldn't have been made.  But every plane has its unique features that make it "better" than the other in different situations.

it really depends. The B-2 is stealth and would work best against an enemy who has the capability to seriously damage the aircraft because they would have little warning to scramble jets, prep missiles, etc. However, the B-1 is highly maneuverable (for a bomber). Both are formidable aircraft and are great additions to the most powerful airforce in the world.
