B.j. upton or placido polanco

Question

10 teams and h2h. i have placido polanco and b.j. upton on my team. i don't think i need both of them. which one should i trade and who should i ask for in return (i need a SP)?

Upton is a very valuable guy because good SB numbers are hard to come by. Polanco is decent as well, but i would not give him more credit than "decent." the complicated part is, you can get a better pitcher if you give up the better of the 2 (Upton) so my questions to you are how good of a SP are you looking for, and is it worth giving up quality on your end. keep in mind if you are doing a 1 for 1 deal, batter for pitcher...pitchers pitch once ever 5 days, where batters play everyday. is the pitcher you are going to receive worth it?

p.s. i agree with a previous answer saying move Upton to your OF if you can!

I agree with NBA.

If you seriously want to move one of them, try moving Upton.

He has dual-eligibility, is a steals-machine, and plays in a stacked line-up that scores a lot of runs.

Actually, use the above line in the trade proposal...as for what he would command, you can get a top-tier SP as long as your fellow managers know who Upton is.

He is definitely more name-driven this season as he hasn't really lived up to his potential.  But definitely mention his OF availability.

As for what you can get back, go for someone like a Halladay, or a Cliff Lee, or even try for a Sabathia.  And try to trade with someone who just had a 2B or OF go on the DL or something.

Package Upton and use Polanco.

If you need steals, keep Upton and trade polanco.  If you need average, keep Polanco.  If you don't particularly need one or the other, I would shop Upton, because you should get more in return.

Put Polanco on ur 2B and put upton in ur OF

Keep Polanco.  He is more underrated than BJ Upton by a lot.  Upton's numbers and name alone will bait more trades than Polanco will.  But Polanco can be very helpful, so i highly recommend keeping him.  

IN return for Upton, thats a toughy.  SHould try for a John Lackey perhaps.

bj upton is WAYYYYYYYYY better than placido
