B1-B2 visa with criminal records?

Hi,

my friend is having visitor visa and he is been charged for shoplifting. he already paid his fine $708. it is his first crim.the question is at present he is having 6 months to stay in usa.he wants to know that after complition of his 6 month stay he will go back to his own country and wants to know in future he will be able to come back to usa with same visa or not. and if yes how long stay he will be getting. and within how much interval he can come back as visitor. please help.

It all depends on the type of crime and how the crime was charged and prosecuted.  If the crime is a petty offense, your friend might be OK; it might turn out to be a crime which would render your friend inadmissible. Your friend should see a lawyer (ideally an immigration lawyer with criminal law experience).
