This occured at US embassy in Mexico City. Will he call on time? Will my friend get the visa?

She spoke with officer 10 minutes. Provided $3000 bank statement, proof of 2 properties (1 apartment, 1 piece of land), letter from work, proof of school, and finally, a letter of invitation with drivers licenses copied onto the letter of my entire family with signature and printed name below (brother, myself, mom, and dad). He copied all of the above information and kept her passport. Why did he do this? Will she get the visa? Will he call on time?

  2. US consular officers are an unpredictable lot but generally they will issue a visa based on profiling. In your friends case it sounds as though they are going to check up on some of the material presented so if it is correct she will probably get the visa.

  3. they ususally hold passort , so tell your friend to be patient , it may be good news , nobody ever knows .
