BA accountancy degree or AAT technician Please help!

Question

hi i have a place at huddersfield univeristy for accountancy and finance degree and im not sure whether to go or not. I previously missed my AAT technician level exams because i was ill for most of the year. I have been told that it is quicker to get into ACCA after AAT instead of doing the degree. You save alot by just doing ACCA after AAT but im 21 now and i feel if i dont go to university than i will be missing out on the fun. Im thinking that university is good fun but alot of money and AAT to ACCA is better off career wise. I just want some advice if someone was in my shoes and thinks that not going to university is like missing out on alot of fun. I thought i might make more friends if i go to univerisity because im happy when i achieve something at college doing the AAT but Im not that sociable. i only go out to watch movies occassionally. Im thinking uni might change on the other hand going up the ladder in accountancy will take longer as i have to do the ACCA after degree anyway. Please i want much advice as possible . I dont have much time as I have to send back the university confirmation letter. THankx :)
