Question:

BABY LEOPARD GECKO EMERGENCY!?

I just bought a baby leopard gecko from Petco a little more then a week ago. The first two days I had her, she ate one cricket a day. But now she won't eat anything. I have mealworms in her cage 24/7 and everytime I try to feed her a cricket, she runs away from it like she's afraid of it. And also, she has this random big blackish/grey patch on her stomach. Is that normal? And how can I get her to eat? Help, please. I'm afraid she might die because she hasn't eaten for a week :(

  1. I'm not so sure if the grey patch on her stomach is normal, because my leopard gecko does not have one.

You should also take out any live food from the tank at night time as these could stress out your gecko.

Try hand feeding her, but if that doesn't work then I would definitely take her too the vet.

    Good Luck

  2. The blackish/grey patch is normal. My gecko has one too. Try hand feeding her, like put the mealworm/cricket at the end of tweezers or with your fingers. If all fails, take her to the vet.

  3. return it... the temperature is bad or your hanling it too much

  4. Yes, try hand feeding her. If you think that something is really wrong with her then take her to petco with your recipt. they will check her into the vet for free usually. its their policy.

  5. actually a dark purple patch can mean an impaction, take it back to petco, they will have to treat it and take it to the vet and then you can buy it back. its obviously sick.
