  1. Hi,

I think the most important thing to start with is to get your baby into a good sleep routine.  I had massive problems with getting my 4 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting James into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

  2. Babies should be put to sleep on theirs backs in the feet to foot position. This means your baby's feet should be at the foot of the crib, to stop him/her moving under the covers

  3. i think sleep on the back is more comfortable since it reduce from risk of SIDS.my daughter is 2 months old i try to sleep her side but shes not comfortable.anyway babies are diffrent.goodluck on your angel! babies are so precious.im sure you are so excited about it! : )

  4. Why are you yelling at me?

  5. Do what the hospital teach you to do, or see how the nurse place newborn in the cot.

If warping baby up, do tilt baby to the side a bit, so if got puke, it will just flow out of the mouth.

let baby sleep on back with no pillow, when baby neck is strong enough to turn by themselves when they sleep.

  6. I myself have 2 children both going into there teens and my girl and i put them on there backs at night. The reason for this is to prvent SIDS. This stands for sudden infant death syndrom. This is where children stop breathing at night and die, most people belive it is becuase they are put on there tummys to sleep at night, Also studys have shown that sids happen more in children put to sleep on there tummys them children put on there backs,.

  7. when my brother was born almost six years ago they said that sids was prevented by the baby sleeping on their belly, but now they say that belly sleeping is bad... its mostly based on the statistics on how the babies that have died from sids were sleeping. now they say that they should lay on their backs flat or on a slight incline, and that they should have only a thin blanket with nothing else in the crib. they also suggest that letting baby use a pacifier is now a preventative measure of sids. you can let them sleep on their stomaches during a nap, but you must watch them at all time... their is no real way to prevent sids, it is basically sleep apnea in infants, and there are a lot of underlying causes, like having the baby under 19 years old, the baby having a low birth weight, and smoking or drinking at all during pregnancy...

  8. Side or back NEVER tummy
