while it wasn't illegal, it was proven to be the incident that divided between the two countries (in cricket world, that is) and most Kiwis are still whingeing about it....  I mean the batsman himself was interviewed and said that the chance of hitting a sixes was one in a thousand though he was considered to be a reliable tail ender...  the batman was also whingeing that it was like being left out, that's what he really was on about..

no, I dont think it's the most disgraceful of all time...

It was actually a 6 to tie, not to win. Chappell didn't need to bowl underarm anyway, like someone said there wasn't much chance of the guy hitting a 6.
