BACK TO THE PAST : Why are they not using helmets ??

I once saw a video of Imran Khan's bouncer hitting batsman's head and the batsman falls to the ground almost unconscious. No one was wearing a helmet

Is it considered being a coward to wear helmets in those days ?

Helmets, we didn't need no stinkin' helmets...next you'll want rugby with a helmet...

Technolgy wasnt around for helmets in the good old days.

Tony Grieg was one of the first to wear a helmet, it was more like a motorcycle helmet.

Altough people like Sir Viv and Richie Richadson didnt wear helmets cause it was part of their persona / style, didnt want to be seen as intimidated by any fast bowler ( and in realtity they probally were not intiamdated by any fast bowler, just to cool and to much style to fear anyone)

They weren't concern about safety back then, but these days and age batsmen (are required) wear helmets not because they are intimidated with the bowlers but it's to protect themselves from getting hurt...  have you seen the recent match between england and new zealand where new zealander atsman lost one tooth when the bowl hit his mouth?  better safe than sorry.
