Just bought a Toshiba Regza 40" 40XF355D HD 1080p TV. I only have VIRGIN CABLE, and watch it using a scart lead connection. The picture isnt great is this due to scart lead? Do i have to buy a better scart lead? Ive messed arouind with the settings for ages, its driving me mad!!

  1. Bad Pixels?  Do you mean you have some DEAD PIXELS or STUCK PIXELS?

Box it back up and get it exchanged within 15 days of purchase....

Past 15 days and you need to contact a Toshiba authorized service center by contacting the Toshiba Customer Service phone number located in your instruction manual.....

Now....if you have good pixels and you have a BAD PICTURE, THEN you need to understand you have a HIGH DEFINITION TV SET WITH A LOW DEFINITION PICTURE SOURCE....

The picture won't be pretty with any cable type.....

But you can turn down the sharpness, turn on all forms of noise reduction and live with it.....

Or you can upgrade to HD services from your cable provider and get the type of TV signal that your TV was designed for...
