  1. unless someone nicked your card and they spent the money the bank coffs up in your case its your responsibilty for your card,  most gamblerrs do use there partners cards only to borrow the money to buils some bankroll for a poker game perhaps and if the moneys there at the end they put the money back, but if has problems then ask him to explain this, why hes using your money,   THE LOSS is less if the other parner could share the experince of the gambling, this way the pressure is lesser and one on his own its difficult knowing when to stop or keep going,   but at the mo get him to do a paper round he will have finished paying you off in around 10 years and h**l never use your money again.

  2. Firstly, it's very rude to SHOUT! It makes your question very difficult to read :(

If your card had been cancelled (it can take a day or two to fully cancel) then your bank is liable for the money your "fella" spent. However, as you gave your details to him willingly the bank may be very reluctant to admit liability.

The banks insist you keep all your details private and in return they will protect you for any fraudulent activity.

I hope this "fella" of yours is now an "ex-fella".
