BAYONNE PARTY'S, France, 30 July-3 August?

Question

Does anybody had already went to "Fêtes de Bayonne" (Bayonne party's), in France...

If yes, could explain in what consists, what happens, and in this year party, what should I do??

hi, not been myself but I have friends who went, and it's somehow typical, you wear a white shirt with a red scarf, and you drink pastis ( a french alcohool with a taste of anis), till you puke or f... a cute girl as high as you're are, just be carefull not to fall from the "remparts" of bayonne, cause it might be dangerous.

But just go there you won't regret it, and if you have time take a turn in britanny it's ok too.

There are between 1,3 and 1,5 milion visitors every year.

The fêtes de Bayonne are one of the largest festival in the world.

Everybody dress in white and red.

There are various musical performance and dangerous games with cows in the streets.

The fêtes de Bayonne are a Basque traditional festival, so there are bandas (music band) at  every bar and all the men thing Basque traditional songs (you'll learn very quick).

The Basque are one of the GREATEST people in the world, so when you have friends, this festival is great.

It just consist in visiting all the bars with your friends and drinking, drinking and drinking again during 5 days.

You should do just one thing: go, find basque friends, and ENJOY.
