i've just  watched it  now  suze  and i think they had to say  they  were  pleased   for the cameras  ,  you  could   see Mario  was  bricking it  , it  was funny  to  watch  lol

Her Dad definitely was Sue - as you say he has been reported in the newspapers for slating Mario.  Her Mum seemed pleased though!  I do think Mario and Lisa genuinely love each other but I can't stand the control freak he is.  As to Mario asking her Dad's permission what a load of bollocks!!
