like sarah said the other night, rex has changed towards her since nicole has come in, and seen as shes been dropping hints that she knows hes cheated on her in vegas and miami, he don't really wanna get caught flirting with anyone! now i know giving a cig to sarah isn't flirting, BUT u no how over the top nicole could be... e.g... omg! he gave her a f*g they must have slept together! lmao! u no wah i mean anyways, its obvious she feels threatened by sarah... remember the other night when rex slept in B- BLOCK, nicole walked in and couldn't see rex behind cat , and her first question was WERES REX AND SARAH!!!! i think shes jealous that sarah is prettier and way more fun than her! and rex has clocked that, and just doesnt want anymore arguements! xx

Because he knew she would give him grief - particularly as it was Sara because Sara has let it be known she fancies Rex!!  He knew Nicole would get paranoid and jealous.

He's realised that everyone hates Nicole and is terrified that the bad feelings will rub off on him! He doesn't need the money but this is an ego boost for him and she's messing it up- it's obviously petty and spiteful behaviour and he can see it from the others' point of view.

Also, she will go nuts when she finds out as he has gone against a supposedly joint decision. Oh dear...
