BBC Documentary - Pedigree Dogs Exposed?

Can anyone tell me where I can see this documentary as I missed it last night grrrr. Thanks x*x

  1. you can view it online. But i really advise against watching it if you can, it brought tears to my eyes. It was so sad, you see how a cavalier crying out in pain on the fllor due to them being breed for show standards and a boxer having a fit, you see a pug with a deformed spine and other problems but still able to show. I ca go on. It is a real eye opener. But like i said it is a disturbing programme, my parner walked out of the room half way through and i turned off 15 min before the end.

  2. I can't find news of any repeat  Look at BBC2 late night listings or 3 and 4 if you have freeview.

    The attitude of some breeders was astounding.  a dog with a dreadfully deformed spine (to get the right tail!) won a best in show.  The German shepherds at Crufts were ataxic.

    Google 'BBC.pedigree dogs exposed'.  Sites there include the beeb and K9.

    I had a dog behaviourist to give me some pointers dealing with my difficult rescue dog, she said she had presented the Kennel Club with details of serious inbreeding.  The dogs were still accepted for registration and showing.

    So there is ignorance and cruelty where the money is as well as where there is poverty.
