Wow - that was quite major for the UK, even if people say it only lasted a few seconds. It was over a long distance and we are not used to quakes in this country. Luckily my pants are ok, if it had lasted minutes, then it may have been a different story!

It was quite major really, the largest earthquake to hit britain in 20 years.

But yer I guess it didn't last long. I can't sleep now though, and I've got lectures 2moro. =(

It felt to me (in Leeds) as though someone was voilently shaking the sofa I was sat on back and forth about 5 times.

Well to say it was minor is an understatement. My chair travelled across the room and my hubby thought I was shaking the bed!
