BBC iPlayer??

Hello,

My bf lives in england, and he sent me this link called BBC iplayer.. I live in america, and It wont let me play Top gear or any other episode on it. He sent it to me because I have been wanting to watch it, and I am deaf and apparently BBC iplayer has Subtitles. But it wont let me play, why is this?? I heard that it was because they wont let international users access BBC unless you live in the UK.
