  1. Well, the two Libyans were tried under Scots Law. It is interesting to note that the main figures claiming a miscarriage of justice are Scots. Presumably they are uneasy with the way things were handled by their nation legal system. Dr Swire representing  the Relatives, Tam Dalyell, the famous Labour MP, and Dr John Cameron, the Church of Scotland's leading scientist have been the most bitter and vocal opponents of the verdict from the very start. It is known the Church of Scotland approached Tony Blair about five or six years ago to voice its deep concern over the safety of the verdict and requested that at the very least Al-Megrahi be sent back to Libya to serve the rest of his sentence.

  2. The cowardly b******s responsible for this outrage should have hung !

  3. i vidoed it so havent watched yet , but i think that libyan guy locked up in barlinnie is a scapegoat

  4. Unlikely, as the Libyan in question was tried under Scottish Law which is not the same as English Law as one area that did not unite when Scotland and England signed the Act of Union was the legal systems.

Therefore emphasis on Scottish law is perfectly fair. If there has been a miscarriage with this man, I'd strongly suggest that the judiciary is not at fault and the blame lies with the investigation.
