BCB Committee not interested in Pakistan tour – Cricket News Update
Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations committee, in their recent meeting on Tuesday, April 17, has expressed discontentment over their team’s tour to Pakistan, scheduled for later this month.
According to sources, the meeting was attended by board officials who were of the opinion that the proposed tour will not benefit any of the two nations as the duration of the series is too short, while security concerns are still there.
“We don’t oppose playing against the Pakistan team but we’re against playing them in Pakistan as we feel it is still insecure. The fact that we have been offered only two matches itself is a testament of that,” said an official.

in Lahore on April 29 and 30th respectively.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will not be able to convince Australia to play in Pakistan even if the upcoming series is a success.
The board of directors further criticized Kamal for taking a hasty decision, which mainly caters to his own personal interest of becoming ICCs new vice-president. The Chairman however, rejected such allegations and claimed that the final verdict was taken,
in consultation with the highest governing body.
“It’s correct that I didn’t inform them about the tour. I don’t think our board of directors will disapprove if the ICC is satisfied with Pakistan’s security and that’s why I did not say anything earlier,” said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kamal-c70069.
Kamal further said that the tour will help http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 cricket in the long run. The good relations with PCB will enable the participation of Pakistani players in their domestic tournaments, improving the overall quality of the game in their region.
Apart from the management concerns, there are also reports that the Bangladesh cricket teams coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Stuart-Grant-Law-c91460, along with some of the senior players, is reluctant to tour Pakistan. The squad for the proposed trip is expected to be announced in the coming
days.
