BCB again postpones proposed tour to Pakistan – Cricket News Update

The Bangladesh Cricket Board had earlier this month agreed in principle to send its national team to Pakistan to play a One Day International and a T20 International against the Men in Green, at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore in the mid of January 2013.
However, the BCB chief Nazmul Hassan on Monday expressed dissatisfaction over the law and order situation prevailing in the host country, and made it clear that the Bengali Tigers would only tour Pakistan if the security situation in the troubled country improves.
Though Hassan remained noncommittal – not saying 'yes' or 'no' to the proposed itinerary – but he made it clear in various ways that the next month’s visit has, for now, been ruled out. The BCB president also shared that he has already informed the PCB about his board’s decision in a letter.

But there is concern among us about the country's security situation, it has deteriorated in fact. We don't think it will be wise to visit Pakistan at this time," the Bangladesh Cricket Board chief told media reporters today.
"We have sent them [the PCB] a letter three days ago, telling them of our stance. We will again contact them when their security situation improves. And we will go in the future, because we are committed to go there," he went on to add.
Pakistan has not hosted an international match since the terrorist attacks on the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 cricket team bus in Lahore in March 2009. Earlier this year, the Bangladesh Cricket Board agreed to send its players to the troubled country for a short series in late April, but the trip was called off almost a week before the scheduled itinerary, after asked Dhaka High Court asked the Bangladesh government to suspend the matches because of security concerns.
The BCB president said that his board was aware the decision to put the tour on hold could negatively affect their relations with the PCB.
"We know the consequences, they may not want to send their players to the Bangladesh Premier League and our Dhaka leagues. They will probably not want to help us or support us."
