BCCI remains neutral in face of Gavaskar criticism of Indo-Pak series – Cricket News Update
Following former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar’s criticism of the recently announced Indo-Pak bilateral series, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has maintained a neutral stance, with senior board official Rajiv Shukla maintaining that every
individual is entitled to his own opinion.
"I don't want to react to individual opinion. Everyone is entitled to have one," said Shukla, in regards to Gavaskar’s recent comments.
The former Indian skipper slammed the board’s move to initiate a resumption of bilateral ties between the two nations by announcing a series, due to be played in December this year.
"Being a Mumbaikar I feel what is the urgency when there is no co-operation from the other side," Gavaskar said.

The upcoming event marks the first bilateral series between the two teams since 2007, although they have played each other in international tournaments, such as the Champions Trophy, the World Cup, and the Asia Cup this year in March.
