BCCI rubbishes probe into India's team's performance following Test series humiliation
The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday rubbished the reports of carrying out a probe into team India’s performance following a run of poor performances in overseas Test matches.

Following India’s back to back offshore Test series humiliations, there have been growing calls from cricket pundits and former players for extensive changes in the current set-up. It had also been reported that some senior players, who failed to perform
during the 4-0 humiliation Down Under, under selectors’ scrutiny.
But the BCCI president, N Srinivasan ruled out any inquiry into the performance of team saying that there is no need of such probe, leaving it up to the coaches and selectors to look into the ways of improving team’s performance.
Srinivasan, who took over as the BCCI president from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shashank-Manohar-c89791 last year, said that it is premature to talk of any probe as the tour is on and the team has started performing well.
"It is not proper to have a discussion on the performance of the team while the tour is on,” is how N http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Srinivasan-c90829, the BCCI President, reacted when reached for a comment in this regard.
“It is a long tour...We have begun well. I think it is premature to talk of an inquiry. I mean, there is no need at all, if you ask me.
Let the team come back and it is upto the selectors, the coach and the others to evaluate what needs to be done further to improve performance if they consider it so necessary," he added further.
The Indian board president agreed team’s performance has been below par in the last two away series, however he said that winning and losing is part of game. He further added that it is the same side that climbed to the top of ICC’s Test rankings in 2009
and remained consistent there for almost two years.
