BCCI’s stance towards UDRS is not understandable, says Imran Khan – Cricket News Update
Legendary Pakistani captain and cricketer turned politician, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-Khan-c64237, has expressed surprise over the behaviour of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), regarding the Umpires Decision Review System (UDRS) and believes that the system is good
for the game of cricket and it must be used in all International encounters.
BCCI and some of the senior Indian players have been opposing the use of the system, due to which we did not witness the DRS in any of India's recent series. The recently concluded series between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 was one of the high profile battles, but
the use of UDRS was very limited.
Imran expressed that BCCI’s approach towards the use of technology is not understandable and it is unfair that one member board has so much of a say in the decisions of the International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625).
“I certainly didn't understand the BCCI's stance on the wonderful system of the referral which I think is a very positive step forward, yet the BCCI vetoed it which I felt was wrong, especially when the majority of cricketers felt it was a great innovation.
I don't think that one board should have that much clout,” said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-c64193.
While talking about Pakistan cricket team's future prospects, the former all-rounder is of the opinion that Pakistan is the most fertile land when it comes to producing cricketers with natural talent, and it is just because of the skills of the players that
Pakistan cricket is still able to compete with the best in the business.
“http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 probably has more cricketing talent than any other country in the world. Consistently it produces the most talented cricketers. Pakistan's problem is not the lack of talent, it is rather not having a cricket system that polishes this talent,” Imran
added.
