BEGINNING STRINGS?! (class)

what do you do in that class.

like what instruments can you learn to play.

Typical beginning strings classes will teach you to play one of four instruments: violin, viola, cello and double bass. The violin is the smallest, and the double bass is the largest(and typically the most difficult to play).  The class will(or should) teach you basic musicianship: how to read music properly, how to count time, how to hold and play the instrument, etc.

I guess it depends on what class it is - if it's a group class with one teacher you'll probably play what that teacher is best with, if it's a large class with many teachers you'll probably get to pick what you want to try. Also it depends if by strings you mean guitar, or violin/viola/cello/dbass.
