BEL13V3 in Miracles Gala, fundraiser successfully held for teenage hockey player Jack Jablonski
A fund raising event was successfully held at Xcel Energy Centre, organized by Minnesota Wild, which raised funds of over $120,000 in a single night.
The event was especially held for a teenage hockey player, Jack Jablonski, who had suffered a very serious injury while playing hockey a few months back.
There were many guest and many celebrities, stars, players present on the event as each of them contributed towards it and did great for the cause.
Some of them include, Jeremy Roenick, former American professional ice-hockey player, who played for Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks during his career, Lou Nanne, 71-year-old, former general
manager and defenseman of Minnesota North Stars.
Also present there were newest Minnesota Wild’s stars and players who have got everybody excited since they have come here, Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. Both of them are new to this place, as they were transferred earlier this month, both being named alternate
captains of the side.
Funds were raised by selling tickets of the events and there was also a private auction going on at the event, to which everybody contributed in the best way they could.
16-year-old Jack Jablonski had injured his spinal cord while he was playing a junior-varsity game between Benilde-St. Margaret's School and Wayzata High School on Dec. 30 in Minnesota. He was paralyzed after the incident and chances of his recovery were
not looking great but Jablonski showed a lot of will power and dedicated to recover and is recovering very fast now, which looks like a miracle.
Leslie Jablonski, Jack’s mother told that he has started moving his legs himself while they had him doing push-ups, even though he was not supposed to move his arms and legs. Mrs. Jablonski said,
"He's actually moved his legs a little bit on his own. Just the other day they had him doing push-ups. This stuff is unheard of. He wasn't supposed to move his arms. His legs, forget it."
There were many people who tweeted about the event and thought it was an amazing night but it was Jack’s own tweet that should be ranked above all others, as he tweeted,
"Tonight is a night to remember."
