BEST AT&T smartphone?

Question

I'm 16 and can upgrade my phone for $ off and i want a smartphone, or with a keyboard for texting.

idk what i want, ive heard horror storries about the pantech duo but it looks so cool, because its a normal phone & a smart phone in one.

i also like the blackjack 2 but it seems too much like a buisness man phone for me.

what about the blackberry pearl or the palm centro?

i will really only use the phone for texting, and maybe facebook or checking my email, idk if i have a plan that covers it or not though.

so give me your oppinions.

ps: i kinda need something durrable, right now my current phone (the samsung cync, i got it when it first came out) is being heald together by tape...

You are 16, you don't need a smartphone until you are at least a sophomore in college.

Get a LG Rumor, more for your age.

i'd get a blackberry pearl..it has everything you're looking for but even better i'd go with an iphone..i have one and i now can't imagine my life without it

The BlackBerry Curve is another great option. It isn't too much larger than the Pearl and has a full QWERTY keypad for fast texting. You can also install the FaceBook application for BlackBerry which will allow you to do certain functions right from the phone without having to log in to the FaceBook site.

If you want to check your e-mail or get on the Internet you will have to purchase the BlackBerry data plan in addition to the regular phone plan.

Iphone, next month they are comming out with the 3G version.

Ther voyager sucks. Just go to the store and use it. THe touch screen is slow and useless. Only thing nice is the key board and speakers. What a Desperate Iphone competitor.
