I live in Houston so not many hills.. just flat land.

What kind of Bike should I get? (my last bike had a banana seat and a basket LOL)

  1. i think if you are looking for a reasonable amount of money it is definatley saracen mantra or saracen mantis if you are looking for a more expensive bike get a kona fire or kona kula

  2. Getting back in to biking I would lean towards a hybrid, the gearing is wide enough to allow you to ride just about any where. (I'm assuming paved roads or trails) An other benefit is the price of a hybrid bike won't cause terminal sticker shock. Then in the far future you can go for a bike more oriented towards triathlons.

  3. a harley of course!! nothin better then a hog!

  4. A bicycle with a seat is always welcome

  5. well, there's alot to choose from since the banana seat and basket days. you say you're thinking of getting into cycling to do some tri's. I'd suggest getting a solid, race-ready, road bike. go to a bike shop, and talk to them about your budget, and your goals. brands won't matter, they're all pretty competitive, though I'm partial to Giant and Specialized. actually, I'd recomend an aluminum Giant OCRW or Specialized Ruby, either with Shimano 105 components. both are designed for women, and both are ready to race..

  6. People who work at bicycle shops want you to ride bicycles.  Usually not only because they want to make a sale but because they also love cycling and want more people to do it.

Go into a real bike shop, tell them what you are looking for, and they'll point you in the right direction.

  7. a cruiser bike
