BEST CANARY ISLAND IN OCTOBER?????!!!!!!!!!!?

Im booking a holiday for the 1st to the 10th of october for me, my wife, my mother, my neice (15), and our three kids (3,8, and 11). I want somewhere where its still quite hot but has quietend down a bit, and somewhere where its not a long flight. Ive been told canary islands are nice and hot in october, but ive also been told that canary islands are prone to tackyness, 'here we go' blackpool folk and loud cheesy music.

Are any of the island s not like this or not like in october ,which is the best for activites for kids, or can anyone suggest anywhere else which would be better?

We went to Gran Canaria last october same dates (almost)with 3 kids (2 7 and 9 )Had a great time weather very hot 32 most days.

Water park aqua sur was very quiet and lots of rides

Souix City a western style park with shows a mini zoo horse rides it was ok.

Holiday world which has lots of rides a roller coaster dodgems etc big wheel was great for all ages

Camel rides boat trips beach activities etc

We stayed in maspalomas which was very quiet but just a short taxi ride away from the more lively playa

I would highly recommend here only 20 mins from airport

Tenerife is by far the best of the Canary Islands.

Costa Silencio or Adeje , just by Las Americas.

Lanzarote & Fuerteventura are less developed but have great beaches, and Gran Canaria is full of hills and slopes. La Gomera is idylic, very natural and reached by boat from Tenerife.

Tenerife - there are plenty of quieter areas on the island - such as Los Cristianos and San Eugenio - and the weather in October is really good.   Check the link below for some excellent activities in Tenerife.

My family and I are going to Gran Canaria in October staying at a resort in Maspalomas which is said to be away from the town area of Play de Ingles.

I have been told that Gran Canaria is lovely and many parts are beautiful. The night life is there if you want it but is not in your face either.

My family prefer nice quieter areas hence why we have opted to stay away from the town and in a more upmarket area.
