  1. Use light colors for painting the walls and for furniture. Do not use normal wood colors for furniture. Instead, go for nuances of white, cream, beige or yellow and light green. Add a mirror wall. It can also hide a cabinet with sliding doors where you can keep clothes, books, or even use it to mask a pivoting bed that can be lifted up during the day... However, since such a system may prove quite costly, at any rate, do not use a bed, but an expandable sofa.

Use sliding doors as much as you can with all the furniture and also with the doors inside the room.

Use small, flat lamps on the ceiling not large chandeliers hanging down. Also, a light colored curtain hanging from ceiling to floor in front of the window will help.

It would also help to have a mirrored ceiling... but that can prove dangerous if not done properly... so you might want to skip it... Also, try to use as little furniture as possible. Make ample use of multiple use pieces of furniture. For instance, use a coffee table that has chairs hidden under it and so on. Try to replace cupboards or wardrobes with shelves. Keep it light and simple.

  2. Also make sure that you de-clutter your space. Junk everywhere looks tacky and also makes the room appear smaller.

  3. okay to make it look bigger you're gonna need mirrors, mirrors trick the eye into making the space of the room seem 2x as big. take some long mirrors where you can see yourself completely and hang mabey 4 of them in a creative way on your wall. i dont know about the theme though, i dont know what things you like.

  4. The lighter the floor surface, the larger the area appears.

You need a white or cream carpet on the floor.

It is juvenile to put themes into your decorating. Much better - especially in a small space - to have a neutral decor without clutter. You might hang up one large, or a group of small, pictures on one of the walls. A mirror is a must, but what it reflects is important. If it reflects clutter, the expanding illusion fails.

Have pale curtains or blinds, and make sure your ceiling light is up as high as it can go.

To fool the eye into thinking the room is deeper than it is, you can paint the wall behind the bed in a receding (rather than approaching) colour - it needn't be very dark, or it defeats the purpose. And stay entirely away from patterned fabrics, carpets or wallpaper.

    Good luck.

  5. Mirros

or go a japenes style room with smaller furniture

Ex. bed on ground 2-3 draw drawer on ground

    pillow(as chair) and low table

  6. I like a beach house look.  Usually all white walls that makes it look bigger too.  But I also like the light sea foam color and khaki, beach colors.  You should be able to search a lot of pics for it, it is classic.  Usually it is white walls and white slip covers, painted white furniture with maybe a little navy trim some nautical items.  But more recently I have seen the colors of the sky and sand and ocean and just really simple clean lines.
