Question:

BEST TIME to post a QUESTION: does the category matter? am aware of similar questions/but want fresh responses

There seems to be a constant ebb and flow of participants on this program. So I'm requesting for an "as of the moment", referenced, responses.

I live in the Reno/Sparks, Nevada area; we are in the Pacific time zone. And I participate mostly in two categories: History and Classical Music.

And it seems to me, that I receive many more responses to my questions, if I post them in the late morning or very early afternoon.

What has been your experience? Has anyone ever actually tabulated, computed what the best times are with regard to this question? If they have, would really appreciate their sharing the results of their research.

Many thanks for any feedback,

Alberich

  1. I don't know, but I have noticed today is a terrible day for getting answers!!!  P&S usually gets the most answers too!  Try going there!

  2. I'm on the East Coast, myself, and hang out in the Yahoo Answers section almost exclusively. I usually notice a sharp rise in the # of questions and answer being posted when it hits 5:00 p.m. MY time -- all those folks finally getting off of work, I guess.

  3. In my case I think is becuase most people are at work during the mentioned hours with little or not much to do. I log in during my breaks specially lunch time becuase is longer. Right now is 1:15pm in California is Friday and I am done with my tasks (I am an invoicing clerk). All I have left to do is answer phone calls until 4pm.
