  1. The way I always do it is to offer a price about 40% below the asking price and look at the product very disappointingly.

  2. The best way to haggle on anything is to know what it's actually worth, let them know that you know what it's actually worth, and work up from there.

  3. Keyword: Internet Sales Manager

They're the ones you want to speak with before setting foot onto a car lot. You can do it all over the phone instead of in person. Less pressure that way as well.

    Here's an example:   http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con...

If you're going to do it in person, try not to seem so excited about the car. Tell your spouse to seem neutral too. Once you figure they won't budge, get up and walk out. If they let you walk out, you may get a phone call tomorrow saying they'll match your price.

Do you know exactly which car you'll be getting? If you need exact prices, used/new, try autobragblog.com

  4. Watch 'Don't get done get dom' it's ace.

  5. Generally walking out does the trick.

If you want a vehicle that is priced at $15,000 for 13,000 and they are not budging, basically just say that is the amount you want to pay for that specific vehicle, then go home.   The dealership WILL call you within a couple of days.  (assuming they don't sell the vehicle)

this method has worked for me twice.

  6. I used to work buying and selling used cars (no wise cracks - I,ve heard them all before) and whenever I was buying privately e.g. from a door, I always found that if the seller wouldn,t budge the best trick was to show them your cash wedge.

People always change their attitude when they know you have 3 or 4 thousand pounds in your pocket. It means no waiting on cheques, telling the tax man, declaring the real price to their spouse, whatever.

  7. bring cash - thats the biggest thing.  and dont be afraid to walk away.  have a firm price in mind that you will go to, and start a little bit lower, so you can meet the person somewhere in the middle.  DO NOT offer 40% less - you'll be insulting and sound like a douche.  would you advertise something for $1000 and take $600 for it?  of course not.  be reasonable, and make sure its worth what youre paying for it.

  8. start at half and work your way to the middle

  9. i find that if you walk into a shop with a shotgun they give you the item you are after very cheaply sometimes even for free, and if your really lucky you might get some money out of the till aswell. Oh isn't England such a kind country.

i know this is a stupid answer but i hope it made you laugh
