And when you want to become a sports agent, instead of getting a law degree (Which I know comes in handy but isn't mandatory) couldn't you just take contracts to a well known experienced lawyer just to look over and pay him a fee? And is it a fun job? Im 14 and always have different career ideas, but i always come back to this. I would also like to learn about slary, I know its usually 4-10% of the clients income.

  1. You have to be accredited by the league in which you want to represent players in. If you want to represent players in the NFL you have to be accredited by the NFL and so on by the other pro leagues.

There are also overseas leagues that American players now play. I am not aware of each countries requirement, so you would have to check that on our own.

You should be able to assist your players as much as possible, so being as educated as you can will go a long way toward helping as much as you can.

You potential salary depends on the type of clients you have and what level in which they play. If you have all minor league players your salary will not be as great as if you had major league players.

At 14 get as much education as possible, finish college either in business, marketing or law. These normally lead to a productive life  an agent.

Now who do you think want to hire someone without a college degree of some type? There people normally earn millions and millions of dollars per year. They want to hire the very best to represent them and refer them to others that might help them financially.

If you no degree they can find an attoney themselfs to exlain a contract or get them out of a contract. What use will they have for you?

All you want to tell them is I will let attorney Sam look at your contract.

Don't worry this guy I know marketing Joe will help us.

Not to worry business man John will show you what type of stock to invest in.

So let's step up to the books, get an education be the very best you can. You will make more in the long run.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.
