I'm experiencing a complete host of pregnancy symptoms unique to any other cycle, and I have the feeling that I am..

I hate to say that because I don't want to jinx it, lol..

but a week before period's due I've tested, and I got a negative test.

:*(

Has anyone else experienced this then later got a positive?

Or is it safe to say I'm out of the race?

  1. Honestly, you really shouldnt have tested that early. Its gonna come pu negatvie if you test that early with any pregnancy test. I would wait five days till when your period is supposed to come and get a clear blue. Or just wait till after you missed your period to find out. But dont rely on the dollr tree tests. My friend took one when she was pregnant and it said negative, she took another one by a different brand and it said positive. She went to the the clnic and she was about 7 weeks pregnant. GOOD LUCK!

  2. You have tested way too early especially with a dollar test. I don't say they are bad unless taken at the right time. Even good quality (big dollar ones) like first responce say accurate only 5 days before missed period...but i would alos rather not do that.

Just wait till your missed period day and then test the next day with first morning pee.

I would just discard the results of the test you have taken as you have taken it very early.

    Good luck...hope its your month

  3. Your pregnancy symptoms could be psychological but wait a few more weeks then test again. Good luck

  4. Don;t give up hope yet. Us women addicted to testing in hopes that we are pregnant always do so far too early. You should really wait until your period is due and then test. I know it is easier said than done. I jump the gun each month and test with hopes that it is positive and then I usually start within a day of the last test when I finally give up.

With my past pregnancies I have not shown positive on a HPT but blood tests confirmed it. It all depends on the amount of hcg that has built up in your urine to show a positive.

    Good luck to you!
