BFP, still a week till AF due.....?

Question

Got a BFP this morning with an extra sensitive test and a regular test but AF not due for another week yet. Can anybody tell me how common a chemical pregnancy is and the likely hood of it happening to me??

congrats on your positive result. like others have said chemical pregnancies are common, but this does not mean that you are experiencing one...you may have ovulated earlier in your cycle than the usual 14 day and maybe thats why you got a positive a week before your periods due, if you test again in  a couple of days and it is a stronger positive line then that should show that the hcg hormone is increasing inside you...good luck

stop right there missy. stop being negative. you should be fine. leave it a couple more days and do another the line will become darker. i was sure i could see a mega faint line at 5dpo and my hubbie was laughing at me but at 8dpo bang there it was i am now 14 weeks pregnant so keep the faith x

Congratulations!  Like you, I did a sensitive HPT 7 days past ovulation, and I got a BFP!  I went to the doctors at 11 days past ovulation, and I tested positive on their urine test and got a positive blood test. I am now 7 weeks pregnant!  Chemical pregnancies are very common, and alot of women don't even know they have had one as they get their period a few days late or it might be a little heavier than usual.  The trouble with testing early is that if you do have a chemical pregnancy, it is really upsetting when your period comes, whereas if you didn't test, you wouldn't have known you were pregnant.  Sad but true I guess.  I worried about early miscarriage also, but everything is so far, so good for me, and it will be the same for you!  Goodluck and congratulations!

Sounds like you are pregnant to me, it's not common to get a bfp that is wrong, more likely a neg that's wrong. CONGRAT'S!
