Anyone done it? I'm hoping to do it after college but was just wondering if someone who has done their BHS training could tell me what it is like, and if they've got an enjoyable well paid job now? Thanks.

  1. I am in the program right now and I love it.  It is very informative.  I am doing the lower levels just to have horse industry certification.  As we all know, with horses, there is so much to learn and this is a great way to do it.   I do not work in the horse industry at the moment, but may do so in the future.  The barn where I ride offers the BHS program and I thought I should take advantage of it.  If I were to do it, I would be able to work as an instructor at the barn where I ride and it would be a decent paying career.

It is where I am doing the BHS program.

  2. I have an enjoyable very well paid job ... as a writer.

The BHS has got to be the best in the world with regards to training and education, and if you want to work with horses, going through the stages and getting your BHSAI / groom's cert is going to set you up well.

I got my AI when I was younger and was aiming for the II - but I gave it up.  I still have ponies as a hobby but the hours and lack of pay made me look elsewhere for a job.
