I have a Schwinn Mid-Town and I would like to put 26.1.10 or 26.1.0 tires in it. Where can I find a rim that will accomadate both bike and tire? About how much will it be?

  2. Or you can get a 26x1.125 tire and see if it works. If it does, then get the second one.

    IMHO, putting skinny tires on a comfort bike is like putting lipstick on a pig. You can dress it up, but it'll still be a pig.

    Look here http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/12938-2... Tthis is the least expensive rim I could find to fit your requirements and assumes that you have 32 hole rims now and that you want to rebuild the wheels.

    So, you are looking at $150 for the rims, $90 to relace the wheels, $50 for tires and tubes, $10 for rim tape, and all the grief. Total is $300.00!

    You can get an entire entry level hybrid bike at a bike shop with everything you need for that kind of money.

    In short, forget the rebuild and get a new bike.
