I just got a new Sandisk Sansa Fuze. I was so excited about my own mp3 player and that it could hold videos. I went on youtube and picked a video that I like: Evolution of Dance,:) and did all the steps I was told.
1. Download the video you want as a .flv (flash video)
2. Turn that .flv into a .avi or mpeg-4 (mp4) or any other compatible forms.
3. Put that new converted file onto your Sansa media converter, the n it will download onto your Sansa Fuze. THIS is where is all goes wrong!:(
These are the steps I took:
1. I downloaded the video using Mozilla Firefox video download helper, I tried using Real Player video downloader, and i used almost every video online downloader out there.
2. I took that .flv and the following are just a FEW of the ones i tried:
-moyea converter - this totally didn't work (way to confusing).
-psp video convter - this is one that I thought would work when it was almost done
-vixy.net converter - this is one that really bumed me because I watched a youtube video and I watched someone do the EXACT same steps I took and it still didn't work:( (the ONLY difference is he [I think] had windows vista, I have windows xp)
-and most other online convrters.
3. After the vixy.net, psp video converter, and all the rest, were done I dragged the finished file into the Sansa Media Converter and i got the exact message:
This file,_(where ever it came from in my documents)_, cannot be imported, please install the right codec first. If the file can playback on your computer, probably Sansa Media Convert does not support this format or the file is corrupted.
Please not that there are NO spelling mistake compared to the message I always get. The only reason my hopes are alive is because I spent over 7 hours the first day I had trying to put a youtube video on it and I saw someone do the exact same thing I did and it worked for them. ;( ;(
Please help me. Please ;( ;(
