What are the two phases of metabolism? What is the primary difference between these two phases?

anabolism - constructs components of cells

catabolism - breaks down large molecules

Oooh. I'm totally going off the top of my head on this. I think they're anabolism and catabolism. I think catabolism breaks stuff down and anabolism digests it. I may have gotten them switched, though.
