Question:

BIOS HELP! DEALING WITH A BRICK OF A MACHINE!?

i flashed my bios for my computer in my ECS ELITGROUP P4M800PRO-M motherboard, and one thing i think i shouldn't have done was something like "ignore (something) code" or "ignore (something) password. Now, i'm dealing with a brick because i start the computer and the start up screen comes up (the black screen with the system checks) and at the bottom it says "press F1 to continue" and my keyboard doesn't work. When I unplug my keyboard it skips the black screen and starts up the GUI (windows) and goes to the select profile page, but since my computer won't work even if i plug it back in, i can't go any farther. Any help?

  1. Probably you need to get a non USB keyboard and get into the BIOS, set the motherboard back to the factory default settings, boot up pc to the desktop, if everything fine, then you can install your USB keyboard and mouse back.

Otherwise you have to consult the motherboard manual or go to ESC site to see if they have any support that can offer.

    Hope this helps.
