Does he like sports? If so, give him something he can use while doing that sport. If he likes video games give him some video games or a computer game. If he likes to be outside, get him a bike or maybe even a bug kit. (those containers that little kids use to catch lighting bugs, butterfly, etc.) Just think about what he likes, and go from there.

My 7 year old son loves Legos, anything to do with vehicles (Hot wheels, Tech Decks, etc), reading, and is just getting into video games.

He has never been into superheros or action figures at all.

if i had to buy a 7 year old present right now, i would probably get him a lego set. make sure you get one a little harder than what you would think. these kids are so smart these days.

they come in a variety of sets, so you can pick one in your price level.

my son loved the sponget bob ones and the start wars too.

the nerf toys are a big hit with my nephew! i.e., Nerf target shooter,.... and they really can't hurt anyone or themselves. They also have a great laser tag set for young children! At that age I think toys to promote their creativity or physical activity is best ! Hope you find that great gift!
