  1. HE WONT SET A DATE IVE FOUND THE DRESS AND VENUE LOL.

1 room will be easier and cheaper youve got to think flowers seating dj hire food layout 1 big room and even if you completely reorganise it for the DISCO the work will be worth it

  2. I would say, as long as you have people willing to help you set up, and stuff, stay in one room. Thats what i did. We had the ceremony, then ate, then reception. Everyone helped clean and set up and it went by fast.

  3. It sounds like an all day event. Have separate rooms. There would be no way for the caterer to set up for the evening festivities if you are still in the same room from breakfast.

Why in the world would you want to tie up the whole day for your wedding, sounds like you are a little self centered. Most of the people are not going to stay all day. I give most weddings a max of two hours of my time, unless I am in the wedding or it is a close family member.

There is a 30 min max ceremony then about an hour to an hour and a half at the reception (unless it is a serious party).

  4. Hi

It really depends on the venue you choose and the layout of the room - there are so many options to choose from - if you're looking at a hotel wedding, they will normally have a banqueting facilitity and afford you the use of the grounds and other rooms as appropriate -- a bigger hotel might be able to offer you a more intimate setting for your ceremony and a larger setting (even a ballroom!) for the 'big event'.  Don't be afraid to ask, and remember - weddings are a big deal to hotels - there's always room for negotiation!

If you are planning a marquee wedding, you can have the marquee designed exactly how you like.  The events company you hire will be well versed in moving the rooms around - and in many cases you can use the same space, relaid with different chair configurations during the day -- as an example, many have the room set in a theatre style to start with (for the ceremony) and then reset the room for the banquet whilst you're outside having your wedding photos done.

Remember, it's your day - but if you're short of ideas do ask the wedding coordinators at the various venues you are considering - they will have done this many times before and will know what works well in their venue.

The link below will provide you with some further helpful guidance.

  5. The usual thing is you choose the venue and the room for the wedding breakfast. the room is laid out as you want ,often with some potted plants around and a few sofas etc.

After all the speeches have finished and the guests start to move, the bride and groom and any guests who are staying , go into the bar or up to their rooms while the staff clean the room and re-set it ready for the evening. the disco/band can also set -up their equipment.

Sometimes, however, the wedding party choose a different venue all together for the evening and just as often they actually get married , have the reception and evening 'do' all in the same place.

It's entirely up to the couple concerned - ir's their day
