  1. do u have the red cross or similar?i think they do things like that?

  2. The usual method is to attend a St John Ambulance or Red Cross First Aid course and then attend Trainer assessment. It is quite a lengthy process as they do insist you are proficient in BLS techniques before you are allowed to train others. You will find details of their local First Aid classes on the internet under your chosen organisation's name.

If you have Nursing experience or qualification and have some time available to serve your local community you could apply to become a Community First Responder. They are volunteers who work for the NHS Ambulance Trusts who are directed to emergency situations via the Emergency Operations Centre. It is compulsory to go through their training course followed by an assessment by a Paramedic in BLS and the use of Automatic Electronic Defibrillation and other life saving skills. Most have volunteer assessors who are trained up for the role. Your local Ambulance Station may have details or have contact details of the Community Defibrllaitions Officer, or you might find details of the scheme in your area on the web.

I'm a Retired Nurse, Community First Responder and volunteer with the St John. I hope you find what you are looking for.
