When I try do any of the Safe Mode options or go back to Last Good Configuration, the BSoD keeps returning.

I have looked on a few sites for troubleshooting but they just assume that you can get your computer into one of those modes.

My STOP is: 0x0000008E

And it says something about win32k.sys- Address BF803EB6 base at BF8000000, DateStamp 47e0e106

It would be great if you could give me advice on what to do with that specific stop error code but any help is appreciated!

Thanks!!

  1. trust me you will keep going around and nothing will happen in the end you will need to reinstall the operating system. so save your time do it or before that just run a diagnostic ( test ) on your system`s memory modules.

  2. 1) Reinstall Windows from scratch (allow the installation to format the drive).

    2) If you've been downloading files, stop.  That's one of the best places to get destructive viruses.

(And the only way you can save any needed files on that computer is by removing the hard drive and putting it into another computer - one that you're willing to lose if the virus is one that can transfer during file copying.)

  3. BSoD errors are the most difficult errors to deal with. Thats why they are called Blue Death Errors.

This error can mean anything. It could be the last piece of hardware you installed and its malfunctioning now. Try to remove and then run the windows again.

It also means your RAM memory is dying, when RAM data gets corrupted, you will get this error.

There is also a possibility of Hard drive going to die soon. Its corrupting the windows system files hence your getting the BSoD.

I am sorry if I couldnt help you but me being in the world of IT know that there is no conclusive solution for BSoD errors.

    Peace.

  4. This is typically caused by a critter in the computer.  Crack open the side and remove anything that appears to be moving.  Put it back together and try again.

  5. A "STOP: 0x0000008E" error message occurs when you change the hardware acceleration setting. If you follow the link below, you will see a hot fix download available at  the top of the page. It is solved by installing the latest xp service packs. Hope this helps
