BMW 318 ci coupe in alpine white.?

hi, i have a BMW 318 ci. i want to get the look of an m3 on it so im deciding to get the whole car painted in white and then add the extras (bumpers, side skirts, side vents etc). i also am thinking of re trimming the interior in coral red. you probably seen the new 3 series coupe. firstly im 19 years old, secondly the new 3 series coupe in way out of my budget, thirdly the real E46 m3 will cost me £15000 - £20000 to buy and then about £5000 - £10000 to insure (lot of money!).

i know it will definitely add value to the car. The total cost will be around £10000.

1. 2001 BMW 318Ci E46 Coupe - £5000

2. Full body Repainted in metallic white with 6 years warranty - £2000

3. Full Leather re trim interior in coral red - £1500

4. Full M3 Body kit - £1500.

do you think its worth doing?

In my opinion you would not add much value to the vehicle by doing this when it comes time to sell.  But if you plan on keeping it and have the money to make your car look almost like an M3 to look cool, I'd say go for it.

no. a 1.8 liter engine wouold obviously show when you in your "M3" will be racing a m5, and you lose horribly. just but a new one when you are 25 and rich.

you would likely lose money if you did this because, for instance a m3 is not only wider but sits lower to the ground. It also has different sport seats and different interior specs as well as exterior specs. If its just a project enjoy, but If you were to sell it for market or greater than market value you would have to sell it to a person that would appreciate the mods. But enjoy Im envious
