BMW Ipod interface adaptor or aux input?

Question

I want to be able to listen to my ipod while I drive, who doesn't? The Ipod interface adaptor is much more expensive than just installing an aux input. Is the steering wheel control really worth the money, or should I just live with turning the ipod wheel myself?

Also, does the adaptor work with an ipod touch or iphone?

just go to like an auto zone or advance auto parts; they have an adapter you can buy that you just plug into your cigarette lighter .  i use that, and it works great and it only costs about $30-40 .

It depends on how much you want the complete interface. The BMW Ipod adapter makes it so your playlists, etc, upload and you can scroll through using the steering wheel buttons and volume control.

From a safety perspective - that's less time with your eyes off the road!

I have it in my MINI and love it! It's worth the extra $100
